Hey folks!

First of all thank you so much for reading my very first post :-)!

I would like to tell you a little bit about our new "baby": our oldtimer-firetruck.

Since it's an Mercedes and I am (obviously) super creative we called it "Mercy".

A challenging part was of course to agree on a floor plan.. where to put the kitchen, table, bed, etc., etc...

Eventually we decided on a huuuge bed (1,60m x 1,90m) which we put horizontal above the kitchen.

Therefore the kitchen is accessible from behind through the wing door and consists of two drawers for food supplies. Below those drawers is one big section for dishes and the gas stove, next to it another section for the gas cylinder and water canister and finally our fridge.

The kitchen takes up half of the space from the bed's width, so we still have a lot of storage space inside the van.

There we installed wooden shelves with three different sections: two for our clothes and the biggest section in the middle for our camping equipment, bikes, table, etc..

We decided on putting the original firefighter bench back inside and to not (for reasons of space) instal a bolted table.

The remodeling took us three days (which was only possible, because Leon's dad is a carpenter and was a huge help).

Here are some pictures from the remodeling-process:
